Project Game for a Cure - Update August25th, 2008

And now for what you've all be waiting for! The pictures of the first models that are finished!

First, we have a Skorne Standard Bearer!

Next, we have a Titan Gladiator by TruaxA!

Finally, we have the Spriggan by Verdigris Zombie. This is a really beautiful model and I don't think these pictures really give credit where it's due.

And one more little gift:

Battletech Rehash

I've always been a fan of Battletech. Ever since I picked up my copy of Mechwarrior 3 when I was 14 I was always eager to get into the cockpit of a 50 tonne battlemech and stomp around blowing things up.

I had a stint with Battletech back in highschool. In terms of a tabletop game, it was a little complicated for my liking but was decent when played in small skirmish type battles. Warhammer 40k eventually overshadowed the interest in Battletech and 95% of my old figs have since been lost.

Since my painting skills have increased dramatically in the past few years I've decided to have a go at it again. I've decided to go with a clan theme and am going to use the following mechs.

Dasher:

Cougar:

Shadowcat

Vulture:

Stay tuned for some awesome paint greatness!

Project Game for a Cure! (Rainy Day 2) Update - August1st, 2008

The Game for a Cure project is in full swing. We've got Tim Buckley from CtrlAltDel helping with the painting of a Totem Hunter for the project.

I've been in discussion with No Quarter about putting an article in their news section outlining our efforts. The earliest they say we can be put into the magazine is November. This means a push back of the Auction until Mid-November that will give us tons of time to make everything really cherry.

Vedegris Zombie, TruaxA, Jack1080 and myself are currently working on the project. The first test models for the Skorne are going to be the Praetorian Swordsmen unit attachment. VZ has already done some great work rocking out with the Khador but I think TruaxA's test model is going to be Sorcha.

Stay tuned for test models!
