Good to see another Blogger hitting the paint! Nice job, War Painter! I really like ToM and the High Reclaimer (but they are my secret PoM crushes after all, were I to ever "convert"). Keep up the good work...
By the way, what's your secret? How do you stay motivated?
Note that there's two of us on the Blog first of all so this isn't all done by one person!
Second of all, we tend to do a good job motivating each other to keep things going. It's no fun playing with unpainted after all!
Hey man! Awesome to hear from you. Thanks for the comments :D
Our secret is just playing whenever we can and having pride in playing with painted models. Sometimes we get something new and cool and want to use it right away lol but usually the other will challenge your manhood or something and its painted by the next game lol.
W00t! Manhood challenges!
As for my site, I'd have more pictures up, but I think it's boring to see primed models. It's actually an accomplishment for me to be almost fully primed (in '08, baby), because of how much else I have going on in life and how tired and unmotivated I can be by the time I'm able to paint. But having fellow painters around is good...
If you sit down and force yourself to make some real progress you'll start to find how much you enjoy actually having a fully painted army.
When everything gets painted up you start to get really upset when you have unfinished models on the table. I'll buy something new and it'll be finished within a week!
lol yea its true! I now have easily over 20 painted armies! I can't stand to ahve unpainted stuff on the table. The hardest part is sitting down at the table and starting. Just start putting the paint to the model and I find I can go for hours. First the trouble is confidence, you might not like what you produce so you just don't do it. Second its time and motivation. The first is solved with practice which requires time I admit but there is always time. You can always fit something in!!! Start by sitting at the table then put the paint on the model GOGOGOGOGO!!! Helps me the most because I to get in those moods.
