Ravens of Retribution and Forgeworld Goodies! (by Jme)

So after my long monogamous relationship with Privateer Press, I've decided to take the plunge back into 40k along with my two gaming buddies. I have most of the models and I just have to change things around to suit the new version.

As of 4th edition, I played with a homebrew chapter (see: Jade Falcon) based around terminators and dreadnoughts. Not quite the deathwing, but close enough. When the 5th ed marine codex came out I dove into deathwing headlong and renamed them "The Ravens of Retribution".

The paint scheme would almost be the same as the falcons but swap the scorpion green for a nice rich dark angels green. This gives them a much more muted look that I really fell in love with after the first test model:

I have almost finished a second model, the terminator librarian I picked up to fill the spot of Belial until I can get all the bits together to assemble him.

I have picked up all of the following from Forgeworld. I plan on having (at least) two land raiders and have picked up the doors to match. I decided to mix it up and get both a set of raptors doors, and a set of terminator doors.

I need some shoulder pads to finish my belial conversion, and have picked them up from forgeworld as well as a neat little objective marker.

More updates forthcoming!

He everyone! It's been quite a while since I've posted anything here and I figured it was time to come through and show you what I've been up to. I've caught the painting bug again, and it looks like super-humans in impenetrable armor!

The whole crew - note the battle damage and how the leftmost terminator has paint off his first from punching so many foes of the Emperor into oblivion.

The next post should have details start to finish!

Game For a Cure Round #2

After a long and grueling fight with with our spare time and our paint pots, the Game for a Cure Khador is completely finished and ready to be shipped out the door.  For a reminder of what we're doing here:

...As many of you may know, about a year ago one of the BrushThralls YoungWolf7 (Dan) was diagnosed with cancer. After an outpouring of help from the Brusthralls, he managed to put together a full army to sell at auction to help with a few of his medical costs.

So what are we doing? We're putting together a Khador and a Skorne army ... and selling them at public auction! All net proceeds to go directly to Dan...

Last year we successfully completed a Skorne Army that went up on sale and out the door. We were able to get it done quickly Now the Khador is finished, and all we have to do is find it a good home. Parties interested in bidding on the army should contact me directly at james.m.tubbs@gmail.com.

For photos of the whole army, check out the thread over at the Privateer Press Forums.

Old but new :D

Hey guys, sorry to have not posted in a while. We are just boring like that doing other things like drinking and party times over the holidays. Not much room in there for miniatures. Lols But happy to report I picked up my Protectorate of Menoth the other day and played a games and trounced a Cygnar player into submission after he got a jump start on me and got to within 1 point of victory. HAHA

Anyways to keep things fresh and exciting I am providing you with a link to the Games Workshop page of a blog I did for the Paint or Die competition. In which you will see my coolio SoB army with tonnes of sexy pics of them. Check it out! Have fun and I promise we will stop being lame sometime soon.
